Many 20th century Sherbornites will remember Clarence "Pete" Petty (1918-1995), an active citizen who chaired the Pine Hill School Building Committee in the 1950s and served on both the Library and Advisory Boards. He enjoyed a few hobbies, including woodworking, painting, and when he felt the urge, capturing local scenes through the camera lens. Some time in the mid-1970's, Pete took a few local road trips documenting the signage in a "day in the life" around town.
